The Help Me Grow Network
At the core of Help Me Grow (HMG) SE Michigan is a partnership of the Great
Start Collaboratives of Wayne, Macomb and Oakland Counties with funding
support from Michigan–Office of Great Start and United Way for Southeastern
Michigan. The overall goal of the project is to ensure universal screening for all
young children in Southeast Michigan through a promotion, prevention and
early identification approach.
The regional team has completed more than 120,000 online developmental
screenings using the ASQ-3 and ASQ: SE. We collaborate with more than
500 community partners including health, early care and education and
family support programs. We are committed to developing a system of universal
developmental screening, child development information and support for
families of children birth to age five, access to community resources and
training for health care providers. Strong data collection and marketing
components are levers for community engagement.
