Help Me Grow Maintenance of Certification
Developmental Surveillance, Screening and Linking Children to Services:
The Help Me Grow® System
The American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) recognizes the efforts of board certified pediatricians who imbed quality improvement in their day-to-day practice of medicine. As part of Maintenance of Certification (MOC), quality improvement (QI) projects that meet standards set by the ABP can apply for approval by the ABP. If the QI project is approved, physician participants are eligible for credit toward maintenance of their ABP certification.
MOC consists of four primary parts, and pediatricians need to complete all of them every 7 years:
Part 1: Evidence of professional standing
Part 2: Evidence of lifelong learning and self-assessment
Part 3: Evidence of cognitive expertise
Part 4: Evidence of satisfactory performance in practice
